How to Wear:

  • Day to Wear: Monday is considered the most auspicious day to start wearing a 2 Mukhi Rudraksha as it is the day associated with Lord Shiva and the Moon.
  • Purification and Energizing: Before wearing, it is recommended to purify and energize the Rudraksha. This can be done by soaking it in Ganga Jal (holy water) or raw cow’s milk overnight. On Monday morning, after bathing and wearing clean clothes, place the bead on a Shiva Lingam or in front of an image of Ardhanarishwara. Offer white flowers, sandalwood paste, and incense.
  • Mantra: While holding the bead, chant the mantra “Om Namah” or “Om Namah Shivaya” 108 times to energize it. You can also chant “Om Ardhanarishwaraya Namah.”
  • Wearing Style: It can be worn as a pendant on a silk or cotton thread, or a silver or gold chain. It can also be worn as a bracelet. Ensure the bead touches your skin for maximum benefit.
  • Care: Keep the Rudraksha clean and avoid wearing it during sleep, bathing, or while visiting impure places. Some traditions suggest removing it while consuming non-vegetarian food and alcohol.

It’s always advisable to obtain genuine Rudraksha from a trusted source and, if possible, consult with knowledgeable individuals or astrologers for personalized guidance.
